Excursions in the city and vines
On Saturday morning, explore Angers, capital city of Anjou. Begin your journey by walking in the historic city, you will soon arrive in front of the huge fortress made of tuffeau stones and slates. For lunch, stay in this authentic atmosphere and taste some gourmet galettes at the Crêperie du Château, a full of charm place.
A guestroom in the middle of vines
It is now time for you to discover the place where you will rest. The Mill Gaubourg is crossed by a river which gave its name to the designation “Le coteau de l’Aubance”. This place will sure know how to charm you! Sophie, the lady of the house, will show you around the estate and advise you about places and activities nearby.
Take some time to drink a glass of wine and to program the tomorrow hike route before going to the table d’hôte. The chef is a real masterchef and will cook you delicious local meals, like fouées, small breads baked in an oven, or the crémet d’Anjou, an unctuous dessert with a red berry coulis.
Hike in Aubance
Let the home-made warm croissants or waffles smells wake you up and enjoy a decent breakfast. Take your hiking boots and go for a hike in the vineyard. Your hike will start from the mill and continue to the Saveur d’Aubance delicatessen, in which you will find everything you need for a picnic with local products. Then, keep going towards the interpretation trail of the Aubance vineyard.
